Question: When is the official launching date of this new Waja?
Answer :
Waja with CPS will be introduced as running change basis and there will be no official launch event to officiate it’s introduction. Waja with CPS will be available in Edar/EON showrooms from 5th February onwards.
Question: When can we view the car?
Answer :
The car can be viewed in all show rooms starting 5th February 2008 onwards.
Question: Is Waja with CPS the replacement for current Waja?
Answer :
Yes.
Question: What will the price be?
Answer :
The price for Waja CPS is RM61,888 for MT and RM64,888 for AT.
Question: Why is there an increase in the OTR prices?
Answer :
We have added a few things, which increase the overall perceived value. The main improvement is this new Waja is equipped with high performance CPS engine. The car is also equipped with features like Xenon light and keyless trunk remote system.
Question: How many variants does this new Waja with CPS have?
Answer :
Waja with CPS comes in one variant, P Line only. It offers 2 transmissions:

• 1.6 MT
• 1.6 AT
• Comes standard with the new CPS engine, Xenon light, dual airbag, ABS, fog lamp, alloy rim, leather seat
Question: What are the colors offered?
Answer :
There are six colors offered with 2 exclusive colors:

• Bronze Garnet (Exclusive)
• Blue Agate (Exclusive)
• Iridescent White
• Twilight Blue
• Metal Gray
• Burgundy
Question: Can I place a booking for the car now?
Answer :
Yes, you may.
Question: How soon can I expect delivery of the car upon booking?
Answer :
Currently, the waiting period is within 1 month
Question: How much is the booking fee?
Answer :
The booking fee is RM500
Question: Does Waja with CPS come with Extended Warranty Program (EWP)?
Answer :
Yes, it comes with EWP, 3 years after the manufacturer warranty.
Question: What is the interest rate?
Answer :
The interest rate is 3.88% for up to 7 years and 3.99% for up to 9 years.
Question: If I have booked this car but it was not delivered in the time frame as promised, can I transfer the booking to another Proton model?
Answer :
Yes, you can.
Question: Can I transfer my booking to my next of kin?
Answer :
Yes, you can.
Question: If I have booked this car but have not received it yet, can I transfer my booking to another existing proton model?
Answer :
Yes, you can.
Question: If a customer has previously placed booking for the current Waja, can he/she transfer the booking to Waja with CPS?
Answer :
Yes, customers can transfer their bookings to Waja with CPS. However, customers have to pay the price difference; discount for the current WAJA does not apply.
Question: If I book now and there is a long delay, can I get my booking fee back?
Answer :
We do not allow cancellation, but in certain circumstances, customers are allowed to transfer the bookings made. However, booking fees that have been paid are non-refundable.
Question: What is the monthly production volume?
Answer :
The expected production volume is around 1500 units per month.
Question: What is the general difference between the current Waja and Waja with CPS?
Answer :
• CPS engine.
• Xenon light
• Dual tailpipe
• Gated gear for AT
• Keyless trunk remote release system and
• Electric fold door mirror
• Auto doorlock
Question: What is CPS in general?
Answer :
CPS stands for Cam Profile Switching. It is an improvement to the power and torque of the engine through modification of the cam shaft profile and intake manifold.
Question: What is CPS in general?

Question: Is CPS similar with DVVT for Perodua,VTI for Toyota, Vtec for Honda?
Answer :
Theoretically speaking, CPS is the high performance engine for Proton. It has similar concept as DDVT, VTI and Vtec
Question: What is the difference between CPS and IAFM (installed in The New Saga)?
Answer :
CPS is a premium engine where the maximum power and torque produced by CPS is higher than IAFM. CPS improvement is on the cam shaft and intake manifold. However, IAFM improvement is only through intake manifold and IAFM does not have increase in power.
Question: Has it resolve the under power issue at low RPM?
Answer :
Yes
Question: How about CPS fuel consumption?
Answer :
Fuel consumption remains competitive
Question: What is the engine specification?
Answer :
Max Power: 93kW (125bhp) @ 6500rpm
Max Torque: 150NM @ 4500m
Question: Will the cost to maintain Waja with CPS be higher than the current Waja?
Answer :
The maintenance cost is as per the current Waja’s and the service interval is at every 10,000km.
