Starting 1st January 2009, the regulation on rear seatbelt will be enforced on all vehicles except for the following:

1. vehicles registered before 1st January 1995;

2. vehicles registered after 1st January 1995 but not equipped with anchorage points;

3. commercial vehicles including taxis and hired cars;

4. passenger vehicles with more than 8 seats including the driver's seat;

5. goods vehicles with load limit exceeding 3.5 ton.

1.	Q	Why do we need to install additional seat belt? Mengapa saya perlu memasang tali pinggang keledar tambahan?
	A	Government has set a regulation for all rear passengers to wear seat belt. Kerajaan telah menetapkan undang-undang baru yang mewajibkan penumpang tempat duduk belakang untuk memakai tali pinggang keledar.
2.	Q	How urgent is it? Berapa segera kereta harus dihantar ke Pusat/Wakil Servis?
	A	Installation will begin as soon as January 2009. Government has given a period of three 3 years for all owners to complete the installation,. Pemasangan akan bermula seawal bulan Januari 2009. Pihak kerajaan telah memberi tempoh tiga (3) untuk semua pemilik kenderaan untuk memasang tali pinggang keledar untuk tiga penumpang di belakang.
3.	Q	How long will the part replacement take? Berapa lama proses untuk menukarkan alat ganti yang terlibat?
	A	Approximately 20 minutes per car. Lebih kurang 20 minit untuk satu kereta.
4.	Q	Will there be any charges for the installation? Adakah saya akan dikenakan bayaran?
	A	No. Tidak.
5.	Q	Where should I get the job to be done? Di mana tempat yang boleh dirujuk untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini?
	A	All Proton Edar and EON Service Branches and Service Dealers only. Semua Pusat Servis dan Wakil Servis Proton Edar dan EON saja.
6.	Q	How will I know if the job is done? Macam mana saya boleh tahu yang pemasangan telah dilakukan?
	A	All 3 sets of rear seat belt well functioning. Kesemua 3 tali pinggang keledar belakang berfungsi dengan baik.
